Wes is coming off his first year as head coach for Downingtown West Girls soccer program, in which they won the PIAA State Championship.   Wes was named Chesmont Coach of the year and 2009 Daily Local News Girls Soccer All-Area Coach of the Year. Before this he served at Downingtown as an assistant for 4 years, 3 with the girls (also winning state title in 2006) and 1 with the boys.

  He has been with SUSC for over 6 years, currently coaching the Lightning on the girl's side and the Gunners on the boy's side.

   Wes is a local product having played at Downingtown High School, West Chester University and local club teams.  While at West Chester he was a four year starter and captained the team his senior year.  After a few years hiatus from the sport Wes eventually played one year with the Reading Rage of the then USL pro league.

   Wes has a BS as a fitness specialist from WCU and holds a CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  He has served as assistant strength and conditioning coach at Drexel University, been Director of a local sports performance company and trained hundreds of athletes in the tri-state area before moving more heavily into the soccer coaching end of sports.  He continues to train athletes in sports performance while coaching and teaching PE at a local school part time.
