importance of the goalkeeper. The club provides year round
goalkeeper training for all Spirit goalkeepers.

All Spirit United and Penn Fusion GK’s
are invited to attend
March 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th
sessions start at 5:30PM and end at 7:00PM
on the outdoor turf at United Sports Training Center Cancellations will be posted on the website
in the Travel Message Box. Please check the
website prior to leaving for all sessions.

TRAINERS
Dave Papalia played and coached at Marshall University. He
is currently Asst Coach for the Great Valley Boys and a U-12 girls
club coach. Over the last 20 years, Dave has coached and developed
keepers in the Chester County area. Keepers that enrolled in Dave Papalia's Keeper Camp have participated in the PA High School State
Championship 10 of the last 15 years. Dave helped develop Adam and
Greg into high level high school and college soccer players, as well
as many others from the region. In 2005, Dave was voted as one of the
25 best players in Marshall History.

Adam Edwards: Played locally at Downingtown High School,
Spirit United (five years), and FC Delco (two years). Member of the
1998 and 1999 Downingtown High School State Championship teams.
Played college soccer at Bucknell and holds both the school and
conference career shutout record. Played semi-pro with the Ocean City
Barons of the PDL.
Greg Flaherty: Played locally at Henderson High School and
West Chester United. Played at Towson University where he was a
participant the NCAA tournament round of 16 and was part of a
nationally ranked defense. Greg is a tremendous student and teacher
of the game.
