Congratulations to the Spirit Regional Finalists!

We had 3 teams reach the Regional finals on Tuesday, July 1st. The  Patriots (U12 Boys),  Celtic (U14 Boys) and  Gaels 92 (U15 Girls) are all 2008 Region I Finalists! The Gaels (U19 Girls) missed out by a goal from advancing to the semi-finals. The Spirit United family is proud of all the coaches and participants involved!

Spirit United Partners with Parisi’s Speed School

Spirit United is proud to announce its new partnership with Parisi’s Speed School at United Sports. Beginning this fall all travel teams will receive TEN 1-hour training sessions with Parisi. Each team is responsible for scheduling their training session with Parisi.

Travel Team Goalkeeping Training

The club will be offering goalkeeper-training sessions once a week throughout the fall season. The first session is this Friday, July 18th at United Sports. U09 through U13 coaches and goalkeepers will be from 5:30pm to 7pm and U14 and older coaches and goalkeepers will be from 7pm to 8:30pm.

Travel Team Camp @ United Sports

Spirit United is proud to announce that United Sports will be the team camp provider this summer. All teams from U09 through U14 will be registering for a week of camp with United Sports. To schedule your week of camp, please contact Sean McCafferty at smccafferty@go2ustc.com.

Developmental League Summer Camp

The camp will be conducted from Monday, August 25 through to Thursday, August 28, in the evening for two hours, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The camp will take place at United Sports. The ages for the participants will match that of the Development League. Click here to register and read more information.

Fundraising Opportunity

Did you know that you can raise money for your travel team? Simply sell an ad for the Spirit Kickoff Classic Program and you will receive 25% of your sale(s). All program ads are due by August 1, 2008. If you have any questions about the program, please email KickoffClassic@comcast.net.

Kickoff Classic Tournament

The tournament has received the most applications ever. We expect to have over 450 teams in the two weekends, August 16/17 and 23/24.

High School Senior Projects

Some area high schools require their students to work on a senior project. If know of anyone looking to complete their project and would like to help out with Spirit United, please have them contact Joe Levan at JMLevan@comcast.net. Some options: assist coaching, working the tournament, running a pass back program.

Beef and Beer

The club is interested in hosting a beef and beer. We are looking for volunteers and a lead person. If interested, please contact Joe Levan at JMLevan@comcast.net.

Spirit United Golf Outing

Date will either be September 12th or 19th at Broad Run Golf Course. More information will be posted on the website! All proceeds go towards scholarship.
